Sicamous
Houseboat Capital of Canada
Sicamous is a charming lakeside town nestled between Shuswap Lake and Mara Lake and is known as Sek'maws by the Secwépemc people who have lived here since time immemorial. Historically, Sicamous began as a vital railway and paddle wheeler stop in the late 1800s, connecting the interior to the coast. Today, it’s a popular summer destination famous for its stunning waterways, sandy beaches, and endless boating opportunities.
